Cherie Hunt began painting at the age of eight, when her father, also an artist, handed her some brushes and oils. Being impatient as a child she moved to water colors and then to acrylics.   As an adult she decided to get her college degree and minored in Art Studio. An art oil painting class brought her full circle to oils again.   After graduating in 2003, she decided to complete her master’s in Public Health and took a hiatus from painting until she graduated in 2006.   She focused on her work until finally in her words “the thoughts and pictures in my head had to be put on canvas.”  She is now in the studio every day and wonders why she stopped.
